Prior to joining Brooks Wilkins Sharkey & Turco as a litigation and bankruptcy associate, Matt Dawson worked extensively as law clerk for the Honorable Christopher M. Murray, Michigan Court of Appeals.  Mr. Dawson’s tenure on the Court’s professional staff provided him with invaluable insight into structuring legal arguments, briefs, and case theories in the most persuasive and technically accurate manner possible.  He applies those skills on a daily basis for the firm’s litigation and bankruptcy clients. 

In addition to his broad experience at the Court of Appeals, Mr. Dawson also served as Legislative Counsel to the Honorable Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska’s First Congressional District where he drafted legislation and was responsible for office ethics compliance and procedures.
