
Matthew Letzmann focuses on complex commercial litigation, automotive supply chain counseling, and product liability disputes. He also advises a broad range of clients on complex UCC issues. He is a graduate of Boston University School of Law (J.D., 2003).
Prior to becoming an associate at Brooks Wilkins Sharkey & Turco, Mr. Letzmann was a litigation associate at Butzel Long.
Recent Experience Includes:
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Tier I supplier in products liability case after precluding liability expert testimony under Daubert, with decision affirmed in Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals
- Obtained summary judgment in Mississippi court on products liability claim, with favorable decision affirmed in state Supreme Court on an issue of first impression
- Successfully pursued payment for components produced to fill supplier’s releases after supplier shut down operations
- Successfully defended claim for charges relating to production line relocation from Canada to Mexico
- Successfully defended claim for payment by steel supplier after debit of account receivable relating to missed shipments
